Presentation Details

In collaboration with the Federal Environment Agency, the Federal Agency for Cartography and Geodesy of Germany is using FME to simplify the assessment of landscape recolonization potential for Germany. As biodiversity declines, identifying refugial areas is crucial, and land cover plays a key role. Using vast amounts of high-resolution remote sensing data and national datasets, FME automates this complex Big Data process. Users just select their area of interest, and FME Flow gathers the data, performs land cover classification, and delivers a detailed map and stats to evaluate recolonization potential—all with just a few clicks.
