Hunter Water Corporation, the providers of water and wastewater services to a population of almost 600,000 people in New South Wales, Australia, engaged 1Spatial, the global provider FME and other geospatial software and solutions for improved data governance. This presentation will outline how 1Spatial collaborated with Hunter Water in their ArcGIS Utility Network (UN) Migration as part of their GIS Transformation Project. This project allowed Hunter Water to leverage the latest digital geospatial technologies to visualise and analyse their networks and assets. Validation of the data being loaded into the new GIS platforms was completed using 1Spatial’s skills and technologies. Under this partnership, Hunter Water leveraged 1Spatial’s expertise and technology in the cloud to streamline its data migration process, ensuring the efficient transfer of critical information for its operations. This strategic move aligned with Hunter Water’s commitment to delivering the highest quality water and wastewater services to its customers across the Lower Hunter region. This presentation will detail the issues encountered by Hunter Water in their project of migrating their existing system to the new ArcGIS Utility Network. The methods they adopted to remedy their issues and how 1Spatial’s technical expertise and tools, assisted Hunter Water to maintain data quality and accuracy while facilitating data migration and integration ensuring the integrity of its information assets.
